Kendall had her portacath installed today at Carilion Hospital. The procedure took around 1 1/2 hours and she was allowed to come home early this afternoon. Thanks to Dr Wattsman for taking care of her today with this procedure. Kendall is doing good, just a bit sore as you can imagine. She received a few surprise messages today. One was from Head Football Coach Mike London of UVA who has been corresponding with Kendall since last August. The others came from Lance Armstrong and Doug Ullman of Livestrong with encouraging messages as well. Thanks for keeping her motivated to fight through this illness. Also, wanted to give thanks to the Cave Spring Wrestling team that jogged to our house yesterday to deliver team shirts(see below). Thanks guys and good luck this season. We are so thankful for all of our Team Kendall supporters. You really are making a difference in Kendall’s fight. Kendall we are so proud of you! Thanks again and God Bless.
Forever grateful, The Bayne’s

Hang in there as you start this fight. The Bagliani family thinks of you always. By the way, I love the t-shirt. I know Ed will be jealous.

Kendall, I have never met you; but I am constantly thinking and praying for you. You are such a strong and beautiful young lady who has touched everyone who has read or heard your story. I have grandsons who are 16 and twins 13 who keep up what is going on with you. We pray together for you. Everyone is here for you and your family. Don’t give up the fight.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the soreness goes away today and that the treatments go well!
Glad all went well for this procedure and that all continues to go well for you. Prayers continue. You are an amazing young lady and kudos to your family!!
Keep your chin up pretty young lady! We are all in this with you. You are absolutely not alone! Prayers continuing…Much love neverending!!
Keep fighting the good fight. You, above all, can beat this disease and give hope and faith to so many others. You’re a beautiful young lady and we’re all in this with you. Hugs always.
Yes Bayne family, you all remain in my prayers of course! I know Scott had a GREAT TIME dirt bike riding on Sunday! Hm-m, maybe a bit too much fun! At least it was successful and everyone I know of came home safely! Kendall, as you know you remain on the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church prayer list – there are two. One is published every Sunday and one is for our Prayer Chain – of which I am a part. I’ve asked for a kind of “renewal of faith,” for everyone who is a member of the chain and for our minister to lead it. I know I can certainly use it as I especially pray for you and a lovely friend of mine. I’m not a “known, prominent,” person, but I’m a Christian and I’m Scott’s mom. That’s good enough for me!! Heal, my dear, and know you are in good hands – our Lord and Savior!
I am glad everything went well for you today. I pray everyday for your total recovery. Keep up the fight and may God Bless You.
Kendall, the Dwyer family is in your corner and we are glad the procedure went well. You are an inspiration to us all. You are always in our prayers. God Bless you and your family!
Kendall, “Goals, Strength, and Success” have always been your partners. You will have success with this goal too, from your strength and all of the Team Kendall Supporters in your corner cheering you on with their prayers. We Love You So Much. Nana and Frank
Kendall, I had no idea that you were going for this procedure early. It is certainly good news that things went well. I am glad that you continue to be an inspiration to your Team Kendall and show your determination to reach your goal. The prayers of your supporters will be with you until, and beyond, we can celebrate that day of your victory. Prayers and blessings, Al
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know this rare cancer very well from personal experience. You are very blessed to have such a wonderful family and great support system. Stay strong.
