Long overdue update

Kenny & Kaylee

Kenny & Kaylee

Team Kendall, so sorry for waiting to post, its been a busy fall. Kendall finished her first semester of college and continues to receive treatment here in Roanoke.  She started another new therapy this month and so far has been tolerating this drug without any issues.

This past week Kendall began experiencing chest pain and it was determined that she has pneumonia. She is currently being treated for this at Lewis Gale and hopes to come home soon. Christmas was a blur so we are waiting for Kendall to feel better and are going to have a 2nd Christmas as soon as she gets home.

We want to thank all of those who continue to pray for her well being over the last 46 months of her diagnosis. She has had many ups and downs but her support from you all has never wavered and we are so thankful.

All of our extended medical team has been great and special thanks to Dr Fintel and Blue Ridge Cancer Care’s awesome team of nurses.

May you all have a Healthy New Year.

Thanks again,

The Baynes

I am so glad to get an update. I have thought about you all so much. Andrea, my sister Helen lived up the mountain from you. She was killed in Oct when the ceiling of her house fell on her. You may have seen it on the news. Her husband is still in the house, but not well. I pass your neighborhood going to their house. I say a prayer for you. Sue Williams

You are all in my thoughts and prayers daily. Christmas day is one of 12 and as Christians we celebrate the birth of Jesus every day! Keep your wonderful faith and find comfort in the knowledge that others are with you on this journey.

    Hey Kendall,
I was so glad to receive an update. I hope you will get over the pneumonia soon. Enjoy your Christmas whenever you celebrate. I leave my nativity set out all year. It is special to me and I haven’t been able to put it away since Barry gave it to me the Christmas before we married! It reminds us that God is with us every day of every year. My oldest daughter, Katie, will be married in March (the one who went to VT and you guys wanted to go on a field trip to visit her!), and Ricky will graduate from JMU on May 9. Glad to know you have finished your first semester in college. The first year is the toughest, but I know you will do well. We continue to think of you and ask God’s blessings for you and your family.
