Our family wants everyone to know how special the crowd made us feel by giving Kendall a standing ovation. Escorting her onto the field had a lot of emotions for my family, and everyone in attendance made it extra special for us. We want the cheerleaders from Alleghany High School to know how much we appreciate your thoughtfulness and support you gave to Kendall. Your school should be very proud of every lady on that squad. You all are a class act! It was also very nice of the Cave Spring recreation cheerleaders to give Kendall a signed card with donations. You all are sweethearts. Thank you girls. And finally, I want everyone to know how my good friend Harry Cannady made Kendall and her friends Homecoming a Knight to remember. He reserved a limo to drive Kendall and her friends to dinner and the dance this evening. Harry, I’m lucky to have you as a friend. We feel so fortunate that the whole community is lifting us up and giving us help and support for Kendall to battle this cancer. Thanks to everyone from the bottom of my heart, Kendall’s Dad.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Together, Team Kendall will win!
Kendall, you are just striking in these pictures! It is so nice of your family to share these with everyone. Hope you had an awesome time and I am sure you made some great memories this weekend. The girls loved seeing you in the parade. You are a great girl and we are thinking of you!
The Struzinsky Family
Kendall,
I have to piggy-back on Mary’s post and also say that you looked amazing! Our families watched the parade together and you were definitely the highlight. The kids admire you so much and it meant the world to them when you waived and shouted out to them during the parade. And it wasn’t just the kids…all of us were bursting with pride and love as we watched you pass by. 🙂
The Slemp Family
Kendall,
We have never met, I am the person who had taken pictures 10, 11, and 12. Watching you and your parents walk across the field that night touched every single one of us. The courage and strength you and your parents showed had many of us fighting back the tears. Please stay strong as you climb this mountain. You, your family, and your doctors are in our thoughts and prayers.
