Well, we had hoped we would be back in Roanoke today. Everything was moving on track for us to be discharged. However, after her chest xray this afternoon, they noticed her lung was not fully expanded and they want to make sure there is no leak from the surgery. Sometimes this can happen when the tube is removed or there is a small leak from the staples. So another night here at Duke. She will increase her walking distance and breathing with her spirometer to see if her lungs will fix this on their own. She will have another xray tomorrow to show her progress. Small step back, but after the dust has settled, she is still determined to get back home soon. Thanks again for everyones support.

Take your time and heal. abc13 announced that she was home today. I was so excited. But releived that the docs are watching her so closely and not taking any chances.
So glad to see your pillow pet we gave you comforting you while we can’t physically do it on ourselves :). So many fun things waiting for you for when you come home. Keep working hard, I know you are! Love you and see you soon!!
