Surgery update

Today we visited Duke for her follow up appointments. Her CT scan did not show any new disease and she continues to improve physically from her last surgery. Although we know there is some disease in her right lung, it is asymptomatic and we are scheduled to operate and remove it January 6th. We will continue to watch for any symptoms, but this will allow her to fully heal and enjoy the holidays before returning to Duke. She plans on going to school part time to be with her friends. Thanks again for everyones support. We appreciate it greatly. The Baynes

WOW! What a change in my mood! I had just posted a comment in the “Guest Book” section. I just saw her improved condition in the “Surgery Update!” I am filled with illumination, excitement, enthusiasm, and shocked too, and above all thankful, to learn how well Kendall is doing. It appears that God has been listening–may He continue to listen as Kendall continues her recovery. I am going to find a Team Kendall T-Shirt and wear it proudly! Kendall, keep up your spirit; you are an inspiration to us all.
